I ordered the Voyager Pro after many hours researching what was available. I wanted a solar, hand crank radio that was durable, could charge my cell phone with my own cord (mini usb) capable of AM/FM/ Shortwave and weather with alert. This radio fits the bill perfectly. I like that the solar panel is adjustable so I can park it in a window sill throughout the day. The radio is crystal clear. The first time I turned it on I got a station with Israel news that was far more interesting than the five o'clock news that was on TV. I did find one shortwave station in a language I didn't understand, but stopped looking since I wanted to try a few other things. The earbuds are nice for shortwave especially since it's typically not as clear. If tings go down and all we have is a solar lantern on the coffee table and this radio we'll feel like life is fairly civilized. I'm very happy with my purchase

I have an old grundig radio so maybe that influenced my expectations. (It has a nice hard case and easily accessible buttons and dial but no cell phone charger, which is why I purchased kaito.) I found kaito radio case to be a light thin plastic that seemed to be cheap construction. Flashlight turned itself on when I accidentally knocked radio over. Thin rubbery tag that covers USB ports that will probably fall off with use. Confusing instructions for use of various radio functions.

works as described. it's light, easy to operate, simple to get it powered up and working in no time. I ordered it after a hurricane because I'd like to be prepared just in case something ever happens again (even if its just a power outage)
