The Koncept Equo Metallic Black LED Desk Lamp Warm White LED Color is new for 2011 and is their next ultra high quality LED desk lamp. It consumes just 6 watts of electricty and has a rated lifespan of 50,000 hours. It has 28 dimable LEDs and this version has warm white LED light color.
The clean, sculpted body of the Equo is counterbalanced to be adjustable with a feather light touch, and the arched cross section of the arm makes it so thin and light, so it seems to float on top of the stem. Slide your finger along the stem's touch sensitive strip to dim or turn the lamp on and off. A constant angle joint maintains the head's tilt as the arm swings up or down.
It seems like anyone who purchases a light by Koncept comes back for more than one.
What is the difference between the Warm White and Daylight White light colors? How do they look like?
The Warm White light has a color temperature of around 3500K. This color would match pretty closely to the light color of an incandescent light bulb. The Daylight White has a color temperature of around 4500K. This color would match pretty closely to the light color of fluorescent light.

Is the Warm White or the Daylight White a better light color?
While we have a lot of customers telling us that they prefer the Daylight white in a office environment to keep them stay alert, and the Warm White at home to feel more comfortable, it is mainly a personal preference.
Are the lamps dimmable?
All Gen 2 High Power lamps come with a built-in 4-step dimmer, which provides dimming in approximately the following brightness percentages: roughly 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%.
Our new Gen 3 lamps have a touchstrip dimmer that allows the user to slide their finger down the strip for continuous dimming.
Can I switch between the two light colors?
Color of light on the lamp is not switchable. Color of the light needs to be specified at the time of purchase.
How do I replace the LEDs if they burn out? Can I buy replacement LEDs from Koncept?
LEDs cannot be replaced individually as they are soldered to the panel, and at this time replacement panels are not available separately. Under normal use, LED lights will not burn out suddenly like regular bulbs or fluorescents. Rather, they will slowly get dimmer over time.
However, the LEDs are estimated by the manufacturer to last up to 50,000 hours. At 8 hours a day, this works out to about 13 to 15 years, so replacement heads are not expected to be necessary.
Of course if there is any problem with assembly or workmanship, the lamp can be sent back to Koncept for repair/replacement under the manufacturers one-year warranty.
