This AM/FM Shortwave crank radio has a stylish design and contemporary look,

The Freeplay Summit radio provides you with excellent sound quality,

The Freeplay Summit wind-up crank radio can also store power in a built-in
rechargeable, NiMH battery pack. The Summit crank wind-up radio features
digital tuning, 30 station memory presets as well as a clock with snooze and 12/24 hour alarm.
The Freeplay Summit can tune longwave, medium wave [AM], shortwave from 5.9 to 15.6 MHz and FM.
The Freeplay Summit multi band radio offers access to music and global information wherever and whenever you need it.
An LCD digital display panel with backlight enables the user to see the
selected radio station, clock and alarm settings - day or night.
The Summit crank radio includes a wind-up wire antenna,
and AC power adapter. A full AC charge may take up to 24 hours.
A full charge by direct sunlight will take approximately 40 hours.

Freeplay Summit Technology - Quality and Dependability
The Freeplay wind-up radio is built around a custom designed, highly efficient alternator.
The architecture of this patented system has been developed to maximize the
ability of the user to convert human mechanical energy into stored electricity
quickly and efficiently.
The basis of Freeplay's Summit superiority is in the performance of this system. Freeplay
has extended the engineering excellence to every aspect of the radio. The winder handle is made from tough
glass re-enforced Nylon and is designed, along with the rubberized grips of the radio,
for comfort and ease of use.
The Transmission (gear train) is constructed to high manufacturing tolerances from glass
re-enforced Nylon and Acetyl - dissimilar engineering plastics that dramatically increase
the life of the gear train. The transmission has undergone accelerated lifetime testing in excess of
a half million cycles.
Under wind-up conditions the batteries receive a conditioning charge that negates the memory effect
common to rechargeable batteries and increases their useful life. Accelerated lifetime
tests on the batteries in the Freeplay Summit wind-up system have reflected no
significant capacity loss after 10,000 crank charge cycles.
