Flat Wire
Our Flat Wire is flattened copper wire with an adhesive sticky backing on the inside and a paintable white backing on the outside. We carry different gauges and lengths for all your low voltage applications.
Flat Wire is the perfect solution for speaker or surround sound installations when you do not what to put holes in your walls but hide the wire in plain site. Flat Wire also works well for any low voltage remodeling wiring application where you want to keep repairs to a minimum.
The adhesive allows the wire to stick directly on a wall or most surfaces so no attachments are needed to hold the wire in place. You just peel and stick, crimp wires at both ends and attach directly to your speakers on one side and components on the other.
The white backing on the outside of the wire is paintable so the wire will hide when painted. To make the wire completely invisible you can wallpaper over it or even place drywall mud over the wire and paint.
Flat Wire also works perfectly under carpet and on carpet pad with no bumps that you can see or feel.
Flat Wire is available in different gauges and lengths. We also carry 4 wire rolls for grouped speaker applications. Please see Specification Chart for different lengths and gauges, etc.
We also carry connectors for transitioning Flat Wire to round wire. Simply expose the Flat Wire copper then crimp and insert into connector and screw down the positive attachment. Do the same on the other side of the connector for round wire and you have transitioned the Flat Wire to a regular round wire.
Flat wire is designed and meant only for low voltage wiring applications. Flat Wire is not designed for 120 VAC.
