What is Amorphous Solar technology?
Amorphous solar panels are created through a deposition process which forms the silicon material directly on the glass. More simply explained the silicon is sprayed on to the glass in very thin layers, commonly known as thin film solar panels. Should the Solar Battery Maintainer be disconnected from the vehicle battery before starting the engine?
The Solar battery maintainer can remain connected and it will not affect the operation of the vehicle or operation of any of the electrical components. We recommend disconnecting the solar panel when the vehicle is in motion to prevent physical harm caused by the panel moving while the vehicle is in motion.

Is the Solar Battery Maintainer weather proof?
No, this product is designed to be installed inside the vehicle on the dashboard and so cannot get wet.

How long does it take to charge a 12V battery?
The solar battery maintainer is not meant to charge large 12V batteries, it is designed to maintain an existing charge and offset the natural voltage loss of the battery.

What is the power output for the solar panel?
The rated output is 1.8 Watts/125 mA.

How to do I mount the solar panel and how do I connect it?
Mount the panel on the dashboard of the vehicle using the suction cups provided. Connect the panel by plugging in the 12V DC plug to your 12 volt socket in the car.
